Shortbread Cookies with Custard Powder is a extremely delicious cookie recipe . It is egg less cookie so that it can be consume by vegetarian also. It is basically a preparation of cookie recipe with custard powder and all purpose flour. Custard powder is the main Ingredient of this recipe which gives a nice texture and aroma to it. Necessary Ingredients To Prepare Custard Cookies:


All purpose flour: 230 gram,
Custard powder: 130 gram,
Powdered Sugar 125 gram,
Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon,
Butter 100 gram,
Cardamom powder, 1/4 teaspoon

Method Of Cooking This Recipe Step By Step:


First StepKeep butter in a room temperature. It should be soft in room temperature. It will take 1 to 4 hour depending on room temperature.

Second Step:  Now take sugar and grind it to a powder. It should grind finely  otherwise cookies won't comes out nice.

Third Step: Now add this powdered sugar to butter and mix evenly. Make sure that there is not any portion left as a lump. Mix it with the help of a spoon.

Fourth Step: Now in another bowl take All purpose flour and custard powder . Add some cardamom powder and baking powder to it. Reason for cardamom powder is it gives a nice flavor to our cookies.

Fifth Step: Now this flour and custard powder mixture add little by little to our butter and sugar mixture and mix it evenly. Use your hand to make the dough.

Sixth Step: It should be a very soft dough.

Seventh Step: When dough is ready divide them into some small equal parts.

Eighth Step: With the help of your palm make round shape press little bit.

Ninth Step: Now to give it a nice design with the help of a fork press little bit it will give a nice design.

Tenth Step: Now grease some butter to a baking tray and put cookies. Make sure to keep some space to your cookies because its size gets bigger.

Eleventh Step: Now pre-heat your oven.

Twelve Step: Bake your cookies in 180 degree centigrade for 20 minute.

Thirteenth Step: After your cookies done let it cool in room temp for half and hour.

Your cookie is ready its crispy and flavorful and delicious. Enjoy with a hot cup of tea.



NB: 1 Butter should be soft in room temperature. Don't make it soft by make it soft in oven or your stove because then it becomes liquid and it will not the right consistency for butter. 
2. If you feel that your dough becomes very tight than add 1 table-spoon of milk to it and mix well with the dough and check. Don't add water.
3.  Here I have added vanilla flavored custard powder so that I have not added any essence to it. But you can add your favorite kind of essence into it.  

4. I have added salted butter to it so that I have not added salt. If your butter is unsalted you can add 1/4 tsp salt to it.
