Potato rolls are one of the most easy and delicious veg recipe for party starter or as an evening snacks. This recipe can be easily prepare at home and very less amount of ingredients are required. This is crispy and tastes really good. The main ingredient of this recipe is all purpose flour and potato. Basically all purpose flour or maida is prepared as a dough and flatten it to very thin and add potato stuffing inside it and rolled it and deep fry the rolls until crispy. Ingredients Required To Prepare Potato Rolls:
All purpose flour or maida 1 cup,
Potato 1 or 2 large,
Salt as per taste,
Carom seeds 1/4 tsp,
Ghee 1 tsp,
Water to prepare the dough,
Chopped green chili 1,
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp,
Mango powder 1/2 tsp,
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp,
Oil for frying.
Step By Step Method Of Preparation Of Potato Roll:
Step One: Take all purpose flour. Add salt, carrom seeds and ghee. Mix nicely. Add water little by little and prepare a semi soft dough. Now keep aside the dough.
Step Two: Now boil potatoes into a cooker. Let it cool down completely. Now mash the potatoes. Add salt, mango powder, green chili chopped, garam masala and red chili powder and mix very nicely.
Step Three: Now apply some oil or ghee to your hand and make some round small balls with these mashed potatoes. Potato stuffing is ready. Keep aside.
Step Four: Now take the maida dough and prepare some equal sized balls. Flatten the dough until it gets very thin. Now cut it in the middle with the help of a knief and make two portions of it. Likewise prepare all the dough for rolls.
Step Five: Take one portion of the flattened thin dough and add potato stuffing in one of the edges and roll it nicely so that stuffing is nicely covered. Likewise prepare all the rolls. Now close the roll with the help of a toothpick.
Step Six: Now for frying heat oil into a pan. Add the rolls. In medium flame fry until nicely brown in color. Fry all the rolls.
Serve hot as a party starter or as an evening snacks with a hot cup of tea.
