One of the most delicious and popular fruit in India is Jack-fruit and seeds of this jack-fruit is most famous in Indian cuisines. Here in today's recipe we are going to prepare Bharta recipe with Jack-fruit seeds. Most important Ingredient of this recipe is Khar (খাৰ) or organic soda. Artificial soda from the market can also be used but in authentic cuisines like this organic soda is always preferable. In Assam every household prepare organic soda and preserve it for the whole year. This is an authentic recipe from Assam, North Eastern State of India. Preparation of this recipe is very simple with very less amount of Ingredients. Let's see the necessary Ingredients and step by step method of preparation-

Necessary Ingredients Required To Prepare Jackfruit Seeds Bharta Recipe:


Jack-fruit seeds 10 to 15,
Organic soda 1 tbsp(as per how much strong it is),
Salt as per taste,
Onion chopped 1 small,
Dry red chili burnt 2,
Garlic cloves burnt 2 pieces,
Coriander leaves chopped,
Mustard oil.

Step By Step Method Of Preparation Of Jackfruit Seeds Bharta Recipe:


Step One: Take 10 to 15 jack-fruit seeds and remove the white skin. Now soak them for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove the red skin as well and wash properly.

Step Two: Now add the seeds into a cooker add a cup of water and close the lid and cook until 3 whistle. Let the pressure release automatically.

Step Three: Now take the seeds out into a bowl.

Step Four: Now take 2 dry red chili and 2 cloves of garlic and burn it into your stove. 

Step Five: Now add this burnt red chili and garlic cloves to the boiled seeds.

Step Six: Add salt as per taste.

Step Seven: Add finely chopped onion.

Step Eight: Add chopped coriander leaves.

Step Nine: Add mustard oil 1 tbsp.

Step Ten: Add organic soda 1 tbsp or as per how much strong it is.

Step Eleven: Now mash and mix everything nicely. Our Bharta or pitika is ready.

Serve it as a side dish with steamed rice and dal.
