Taro Steam recipe with black pepper is a very delicious recipe from Bengal and Assam. Taro is an extremely delicious food. All parts of it is consumable like its leafs, steam and root can be cook and eat. This is not only delicious but it consist of highly nutritional values too. Asian cuisines are incomplete without Taro. It can grow easily and not needed much care. Let's discuss the Ingredients needed and method of cooking this recipe-

Necessary Ingredients To Prepare Taro Steam Curry:

Taro or Kochu Steam 3 to 4 pieces, 
Green chilli 2, 
Panch phoron 1/4 tsp, 
Black Pepper powder 1/2 tsp, 
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp, 
Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp, 
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp, 
Ginger paste 1 tbsp,
Masoor Dal 3 Tbsp, 
Mustard Oil 2 tbsp, 
Salt to taste, 
Water 1 cup. 

Method Of Cooking Taro Steam Curry Recipe:

Step One: Take 3 to 4 pieces of Taro steam and peel it with the help of a knife.

Step Two: Now wash it properly and cut in into small pieces ( you can see it in my video description).

Step Three: Now add mustard oil into a cooker and make it hot. Add some panch-phoron to it. (Panch-phoron is mixture of 5 spices like cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, funnel seeds and ajwain seeds)

Step Four: Add green chili if you like little spicy if not it can be avoided.

Step Five: Now add taro that we have washed and cut before. Mix this nicely.

Step Six: Add Soaked Masoor dal to it and mix. This dal gives a nice thick consistency to our curry and add a nice taste to it.

Step Seven: Now add salt, Turmeric powder, Cumin and coriander powder to it and mix this nicely.

Step Eight: Keep frying it until oil starts releasing from it.

Step Nine: Once oil starts releasing add one cup of water into it and mix it.

Step Ten: Now add black pepper and ginger paste and close the lid.
 
Step Eleven: Cook it until 2 to 3 whichel comes. 

Step Twelve: Now after pressure has gone automatically check our preparation. 

Step Thirteen: Serve it hot with steamed rice .
