Chole is a very delicious recipe which is a chickpea curry(gravy). It can be served as main course. It can be served with rice or bhatura. It is a preparation of chickpea with tomato and onion gravy and added spices. Let's see the Ingredients and step by step method of this recipe.

Ingredients Of The Recipe
Whole chana 250 gram,
Onion Chopped 1 large,
Ginger garlic paste 1tsp,
Tomato Chopped 1 large,
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp,
Coriander Powder 1 tsp,
Cumin powder 1/4 tsp,
Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp,
Garam Masala 1/4 tsp,
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp.
Step By Step Method Of Cooking
First Step: First soak the chickpea over night. This step is important because it takes time to get it soft.
Second Step: Now add this chickpea into a cooker and add 3 cups of water to it. Quantity of water depends on your quantity of chickpea.
Third Step: Now add salt as per your taste.
Fourth Step: Close the lid and cook it until 8 whichel. Or after 2 whichel comes simmer the flame and cook for 20 minute after that increase the flame and allow 4 whichel.
Fifth Step: When pressure gone open the lid of the cooker and check whether chickpea has boiled properly or not. It can be checked by pressing one chickpea with your finger.
Sixth Step: Now heat 2 table-spoon oil into a pan.
Seventh Step: Add some cumin seeds to it. Let cumin seeds gets brown.
Eighth Step: Now add chopped onion to it. Grated onion or onion paste can also be used.
Ninth Step: Fry this onion until goden brown.
Tenth Step: Add ginger garlic paste into it and fry until raw flavor of ginger garlic paste gone.
Eleventh Step: Now its time to add chopped tomato into it. Tomato paste can also be added. Here I have used chopped tomato.
Twelve Step: Fry tomatoes until it start getting soft. If its tomato paste fry until water of tomato gets evaporate.
Thirteenth Step: Now add the spices like Turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, Redchilli powder, Garam masala powder and fry the spices also. To avoid burning the spices add little water to it. garam masala can also be add later. Here I have added it early.
Fourteenth Step: As the spices starts releasing oil its time to add boild chickpea.Don't add water now. First add chickpea and fry it for 10 min. It enhances taste of this recipe.
Fifteenth Step: Now add that water where chickpea was boiled. Give it a nice boil.
Sixteenth Step: Take some chickpea to a bowl and break it with a spoon or masher and add it again to our curry. It gives a nice thickness to our gravy.
Seventeenth Step: Thickness of the gravy as per your need. If you want it little light you can add extra water and check the salt after adding water.
Eighteenth Step: After giving it a nice boil our chickpea gravy or chole recipe is ready. In this step garam masala can be added(Here I have added it earlier).
NB: It is necessary to soak it for 5 to 6 hours or overnight.
