Egg Biriyani is a delicious rice preparation which is made with egg and lots of spices with yogurt. Its a quick recipe which can be made very easily at home. Origin of Biriyani recipe is a mutton or chicken Biriyani. Here instead of mutton I have used egg. Let's check the necessary ingredients and step by step method of this recipe--

Necessary Ingredients Of Egg Biriyani Recipe:
Rice 2 cups,
Egg 4 to 5(as per requirement),
Curd 3 tbsp,
Onion 3 large,
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp,
Coriander powder 1 tsp,
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp,
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp,
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp,
Cumin seeds 1 tsp,
Green cardamom 4,
Cloves 4,
Bay leaf 1,
cinnamon stick 2,
Ghee 1 tsp,
Salt,
Oil
Method Of Cooking Step By Step:
Step One: Boil some eggs and fry them by adding some salt and turmeric powder. Fry until it gets little brown in color. Keep them aside.
Step Two: Soak rice for half an hour. Here I have taken long grain basmati rice.
Step Three: Now boil some water into a pan. Now add the soaked rice into this boiling water. Add 1 tbsp oil, some Cumin seeds, 1 Bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick ,2 green cardamom and salt while boiling. Mix it nicely. Stir in-between. Boil it till 70% done.
Step Four: Strain the water from the rice by putting it into a strainer and keep it aside.
Step Five: Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add some spices like cumin seeds, bayleaf, green cardamom, cloves, Cinnamon stick. This spices are adding very nice flavor to this Biriyani recipe.
Step Six: Add sliced onion and fry until translucent.
Step Seven: Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and fry until raw flavor gone.
Step Eight: Add dry spices like Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Garam masala powder, turmeric powder and saute.
Step Nine: Now add yogurt and mix evenly. Add some salt and mix evenly.
Step Ten: Add some mint leaves. It gives the necessary flavor for biriyani.
Step Eleven: Add a layer of rice and spread evenly. On top of this layer spread some fried onion and some mint leaves.
Step Twelve: Now add the remaining rice on top and spread it evenly. Also add some fried onion on top of it and some food color.
Step Thirteen: Add boiled eggs on top.
Step Fourteen: Close the lid and simmer the flame. Cook for 10 minute.
Now biryani is ready. serve it hot.
NB: 1.Biriyani should always be cook into very low flame. Lid can be sealed with ataa dough (Here I have not done this).
2. Mint leaves is very much necessary for any kind of Biriyani recipe.
3. Food color is optional. If you don't have food color you can use saffron water.
For this soak some saffron into 4 tbsp water and add this water into Biriyani instead of food color.
4. Fried onion is a necessary ingredient for biriyani. For this add 1/4th cup oil into a pan and add sliced onion into it. Fry it in medium flame. Stir in-between. When this onion comes to brown in color it is done. keep it aside and use it cooking the biriyani.
