Radishes popularly known as Mooli in India. This recipe is a very delicious recipe of Radish. Here in this recipe Radish as well as its green leaves are made in a very simple way. It can be cooked together or separately. This recipe has high health benefits. Though this vegetable is not a very liked vegetable but it is widely consumed all over India because of its nutritional values. Necessary Ingredients To Prepare Radish Recipe:
Radish with its green leaves,
One small potato cut into slices(to cook with Leaves),
Onion 1 cut into slices,
Salt as per taste for both Radish and Leaves,
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp for radish and 1/4 tsp for Leaves,
Mustard oil 1 tbsp for Radish and 1 tbsp for Leaves.
Method Of Cooking Step By Step:
Step One: Take Radish and its leaves in a bowl and separate the leaves. Peel the Radish wash it properly. Similarly nicely clean the Leaves as well and wash it. Remove hard bottom part of it. Wash it multiple times so that any kind of dirt is there gets removed. Now take one small potato and cut into small slices.Cleaning part has dome.
Step Two: Now cut the radish into thin slices and keep it aside. Chop the Leaves as well and keep aside.
Step Three: Now heat tbsp of oil into a pan. Now add the Radish slices into it and mix this nicely.
Step Four: Add salt as per taste and turmeric powder as well. Close lid and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in-between.
Step Five: Radish will be ready. It doesn't take much time to cook since Radish is very soft and tender.
Step Six: Put it in a bowl and keep it aside.
Let's Cook The Leaves---
Step One: In the same pan add oil and let the boil heat.
Step Two: Put onion slices into it and fry until golden brown.
Step Three: Add leaves with potato slices and mix it evenly. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix.
Step Four: Close the lid and cook for around 10 minute. Check in-between and stir.
Step Five: Check if the potato has been boiled or not. If potatoes are boiled then it has been cooked because leaves doesn't take much time to cook.
Keep it in a bowl. Serve Radish and Leaves hot. It can have as a side dish with hot steamed rice.
