Methi seeds or Fenugreek Seeds are very healthy for various kinds of chronic ailments. These seeds are used in various Indian delicacies as a spice. But curry that is prepared with these seeds are very delicious and healthy. There is slight bitter taste which makes this seeds unique and healthy. It takes very less time to cook. It can be serve as a side dish with steamed rice or it can be serve with roti or paratha as well. Let's see the necessary Ingredients to prepare this curry and step by step method of cooking.

Necessary Ingredients Required To Prepare Fenugreek Seeds Curry:

Fenugreek Seeds(Methi seeds) 100 grams soaked 3 to 4 hours,
Onion chopped 1,
Garlic cloves chopped 5 pieces,
Green chili chopped 2 large,
Mustard oil 1 tbsp,
Salt(Himalayan pink salt) as per taste,
Cumin cowder 1/4 tsp,
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp,
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp,
Red chili powder 1/4 tsp or more,
Amchur powder or dry mango powder 1/2 tsp,
Jeggery grated 1 tbsp,
Water 150 ml.

Step By Step Method Of Cooking Fenugreek Seeds Curry: 

Step One: Wash and soak Fenugreek seeds for 4 hours. It needs to be soak properly.

Step Two: Now heat a pan and add mustard oil into it and heat the oil.

Step Three: As the oil heats up add chopped garlic and green chili to it and saute for a minute. Let them become golden brown. Flame should be in medium.

Step Four: As garlic becomes golden brown add chopped onion. I have chopped onions roughly. Cook it until onions become golden brown.

Step Five: Now its time to add soaked fenugreek seeds to it and mix it nicely. Add the spices as well like coriander and cumin powder, turmeric and red-chili powder and amchur powder and mix it so nicely that spices coat evenly with the seeds.

Step Six: Now add salt as per taste and mix it very well.

Step Seven: Now cook it foe 2 to 3 minutes.

Step Eight: Now add water to it and mix nicely. Close the lid and cook for 5 to 7 minutes in low to medium flame.

Step Nine: After 7 minutes check our curry and mix again and add 1 tbsp of grated jeggery to it and mix very nicely.

Step Ten: Now close lid again and cook it until all the water from the curry gets evaporates. 

Step Eleven: As the water evaporates our curry is ready.

Serve this recipe with hot steamed rice as a side dish or with paratha. Enjoy this healthy and delicious curry recipe.
