Today I am going to share a pickle recipe of gooseberry which is really delicious and mouthwatering. it can be served with rice or chapati.Let's see the necessary Ingredients and step by step method of preparation of gooseberry pickle recipe.

Necessary Ingredients To Prepare Gooseberry Sweet And Sour Pickle Recipe:
Gooseberry 400 gram large or grated gooseberry 500 gram or 2 cups,Jeggery grated 2 cups or 500 gram,
Red-chili powder 1 tsp,
Black pepper powder 2 tsp,
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp,
Fennel seeds 1 tbsp,
Fenugreek seeds 1 tbsp,
Yellow mustard seeds powder 2 tbsp,
Mustard oil 1/2 cup,
Himalayan pink salt 1 tsp or as per taste,
Vinegar 2 tbsp.
Step By Step Method Of Preparation Gooseberry Pickle Recipe:
Step One: Wash Gooseberries and dried it completely so that no water content will be available in it. Now grate all the Gooseberries nicely. While grating make sure that scrapper and the bowl or plate where grating is completely dry.Step Two: Now heat a pan and add all grated gooseberry into it. Flame should be low.
Step Three: Now add grated jegerry into it and mix it well( I have grated the jeggery earlier or grated jeggery can be bought from the market as well). Now mix it nicely. After some time jegerry will be melt completely. In the whole process of preparing this recipe flame should be low or medium.
Step Four: Now add salt as per taste. Here I have used pink salt. Add red chili powder and black pepper powder to it and mix it nicely. We have to cook it until water gets evaporate.
Step Five: Now close the lid and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Stir in-between.
Step Six: When water gets evaporate completely add some garam masala powder and mix nicely. Now switch off the flame.
Step Seven: Now heat another pan and add mustard oil into it. I have used 1/2 cups of mustard oil quantity can be increased as well. As the oil heats up moderately add fenugreek seeds and funnel seeds. Let it brown in low flame. Add yellow mustard powder as well and let it brown in low flame. After spices getting brown add switch off the flame. Let it cool.
Step Eight: After spices getting cool add it to our gooseberry which we have cooked earlier and mix well. Add 2 tbsp vinegar as well which will preserve the pickle for long time.
Step Nine: Now transfer the pickle into a container and have it with your chapati or rice.
This pickle recipe taste very yummy and very easy to prepare. So prepare and take all the goodness of Gooseberry with taste.
