Methi Aloo or Potato with Dried Fenugreek Leaves is a delicious curry recipe. This vegetarian recipe gives a superb taste with nice flavor of cream and other spices as well. This recipe can be served as a main course with your favorite type of rice or chapati. Excellent flavor of kasuri methi or dried fenugreek leaves is the main attraction of this recipe. Necessary Ingredients To Prepare Aloo Methi Malai Recipe:

Potato cut into cubes,
Bell pepper cut into cubes,
Onion 2 large chopped,
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp,
Coriander powder 1 tsp,
Garam masala powder 1 tsp,
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp,
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp,
Green chili 2 ,
yogurt 1/2 cup,
Cream 3 tbsp,
Oil 2 tbsp,
Kasuri methi or dry fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp,
Salt as per taste.



Step By Step Method Of Cooking Aloo Methi Malai Recipe:

Step One: Cut potato and bell pepper into cubes and keep them aside.

Step Two: Now heat a pan and add 2 tbsp of oil into it.

Step Three: Add chopped onion to it and fry until onions change its color to golden.

Step Four: Add ginger garlic paste and fry until its raw flavor has gone.

Step Five: Add all the dry spices like coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder and turmeric powder and mix it nicely. Add some water to avoid burning the spices.

Step Six: Now add yogurt into it and mix it very nicely. Cook it until it starts releasing oil.

Step Seven: When it starts releasing oil add potatoes and mix nicely add salt also as per taste. Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes in low flame. stir in-between so that it doesn't get burnt.

Step Eight: Now add water and mix it nicely. Add bell pepper and close the lid cook for another 5 minute.

Step Nine: Now add kasuri methi and mix nicely.

Step Ten: Add cream and green chili and mix nicely. Cook for another 5 minutes in medium flame.

Our Aloo methi malai recipe is ready. This is very delicious vegan recipe. Serve with hot steamed rice or roti. 


NB: 1. While preparing this recipe always keep keen eye in your potatoes if it is boiled or not. If it gets over boiled recipe would not taste nice.

2.  If you feel that gravy is less than add water and little bit salt as well to adjust the taste.

3. Don't add bell pepper together with potatoes because potatoes take good amount of time to cook so bell pepper would get over boiled. We want bell pepper with little crispness into it.
