CAPSICUM POTATO RECIPE| HOW TO COOK CAPSICUM WITH POTATO |আলু আৰু কেপচিকামৰ তৰকাৰি |शिमला मिर्चआलू सब्ज़ी



This is a very delicious recipe where main Ingredients are Potato and Capsicum. This is a dry recipe and very flavorful and tasty. This recipe can be served with rice or roti or paratha. Capsicum or Bell pepper added in this recipe gives a heavenly taste as well as flavor. This recipe can be cooked within 10 to 15 minutes so its a easy recipe when you are in hurry. So let's start cooking.

Main Ingredients Required In Potato Capsicum Recipe: 


Potato 1 large , Capsicum 1 large, Tomato 1 meduim, Onion 1 medium, Garlic cloves 4 pieces, Red chili powder 1/2 tsp, Cumin-coriander powder 1.2 tsp, Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp, Dry mango powder 1/4 tsp, Salt as per taste, Mustard oil tbsp, cumin seeds 1/2 tsp, green chili 2(Optional).

Step By Step Method Of Cooking Potato Capsicum Recipe: 


Step One: Cut one medium sized potato in cubes and keep it aside.

Step Two: Cut one medium sized capsicum as well into cubes and keep it aside.

Step Three: Now heat a pan and add 1 tbsp of oil into it. I have used here mustard oil. Any cooking oil can be used. Let the oil heat and raw flavor of mustard oil gone.

Step Four: Now add some cumin seeds and make it brown.

Step Five: Now add chopped onion to it and mix nicely. We have to fry onions until it becomes golden brown.

Step Six: Now add some chopped garlic to it and mix it nicely. If you don't like garlic flavor you can avoid it. garlic gives a nice aroma to our dish. 

Step Seven: Now add our potato cubes to it and mix it nicely. we have to cook potato for sometime before adding our capsicum because potato takes more time to cook. So we cook it for 5 to six minute in low flame by closing the lid.

Step Eight: Now after 5 minutes of cooking add tomato chopped and mix nicely.

Step Nine: Add spices like red chili powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder and Turmeric powder. Now mix everything nicely. 

Step Ten: Now its time to add the capsicum. After adding capsicum mix nicely.

Step Eleven: Now add salt as per taste and mix.

Step Twelve: Now close the lid and cook for 4 minutes so that capsicum also cooked nicely.

Step Thirteen: Now after 4 minutes add some dry mango powder and mix. This mango powder gives some extra sourness to our recipe. It can be added together with spices. If dry mango powder is not available then some drops of lemon can also be used.

Step Fourteen: Now finally add some Garam masala powder. Cook for another 1 minute.

Our recipe is ready. This recipe can be served with roti or paratha or as a side dish with rice.
