GOBI MANCHURIAN GRAVY RECIPE | CAULIFLOWER MUNCHURIAN | VEGETARIAN RECIPE


Gobi Manchurian is a Indo-chinese vegetarian recipe. This is most loved recipe among vegetarians. It is a version of Chinese cooking style with some Indian spices. Gobi(cauliflower) Manchurian can be served with fried rice. This is a good choice for vegetarian. The main Ingredient here is cauliflower. Let's see the necessary Ingredients and step by step method of cooking.

Necessary Ingredients Required To Prepare Gobi Manchurian:

Cauliflower cut into medium pieces 250 gram,
One Onions cut into large sizes,
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp,  
Ginger 1/2 tbsp,
Soy sauce 1 tbsp,
Tomato sauce and red-chili sauce 1 tbsp 
Sugar 1/4 tsp,
Salt for gravy as per taste,
Red-chili powder 1 tsp,
All purpose flour 2 tbsp,
Corn flour for coating mixture 1 tbsp,
Corn flour for gravy 1 tsp,
Black pepper for coating mixture 1/2 tsp,
Black pepper for gravy 1/4 tsp,
Red-Chili powder for coating mixture 1 tsp,
Salt for coating mixture 1/4 tsp,
Spring onion chopped,
Spring onion pulp chopped,
Oil for cooking.

Step By Step Method Of Cooking:

Step One: Cut cauliflower pieces into medium and clean and wash them properly.

Step Two: Boil water into a pan and add cauliflower pieces to it and boil cauliflowers for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes strain the water and keep cauliflowers aside.

Step Three: Now in a bowl add 2 tbsp all purpose flour, 1 tbsp corn flour, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder and some salt and mix these ingredients by adding some water to it. Make a semi thick paste so that cauliflowers can be nicely coated.

Step Four: Now add boiled cauliflower to it and coat the cauliflower with this mixture very nicely.

Step Five: Now heat some oil into a pan and fry cauliflowers until golden.

Step Six: After frying done keep cauliflower aside.

Step Seven: In another pan add 1 tbsp oil and add chopped garlic, ginger and spring onion pulp and mix.

Step Seven: Add onion slices as well and mix. we don't have to fry onions just mix it. Flame should be medium.

Step Eight: Now add soy sauce and tomato-red chili sauce to it and mix.

Step Nine: Now in a bowl add 1 tsp cornflour and add 3 tbsp water and mix it. Now this cornflour water add into the pan and mix. it will give a nice thickness to our gravy.

Step Ten: Add some sugar and salt as per taste.

Step Eleven: Add fried cauliflower to it and mix it nicely. Add some water if you need some more gravy. Mix everything and give it a nice boil. 

Step Twelve: Add chopped spring onion and mix. Switch off the flame. Gobi Manchurian is ready. Serve hot with fried rice.
