Lobia 250 grams,Onion paste 1 large,
Tomato paste 1 large,
Ginger garlic paste 1.2 tsp,
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp,
Redchili powder 1/2 tsp,
Cumin-coriander powder 1/2 tsp,
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp,
Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp,
Green cardamom 2 pieces,
Cloves 1 piece,
Cinnamon stick 1 piece,
Mustard oil 1 tbsp,
Salt as per taste.
Step By Step Method Of Preparing Lobia Beans Curry:
Step One: Soak lobia beans for 3 to 4 hours.Step Two: Now take one large tomato and onion and make this a fine paste together. I have made the paste together. Separately also this paste can be made.
Step Three: Now add 3 cups of water into a cooker and boil the lobia beans until 4 whichels. I have added whole spices like cardamon, cloves and cinnamon stick while boiling and separate them after boiling the lobia. I have added salt as well while boiling.
Step Four: Now add mustard oil into a pan and add cumin seeds to it.
Step Five: Now add tomato and onion paste together and with this add ginger garlic paste as well and cook it until oil starts getting separate.(you can see oil starts getting separate after 5 to 6 minutes of cooking.
Step Six: Now add spices like cumin-coriander powder, turmeric powder and redchili powder and mix them nicely.
Step Seven: Now after all the spices has been fried nicely add boiled lobia beans and mix nicely.
Step Eight: Give it to a nice boil. Break some lobia beans by mashing it or it can be done by taking some lobia beans and in a mixture make a fine paste and mix it in our gravy it will give a nice thickness to our gravy.
Step Nine: At last add some garam masala powder to it and mix it nicely.
Step Ten: Switch off the pan and our gravy is ready.
Serve hot with steamed rice or chapati.
